加拿大安省中國美術會OCAA，每年都舉辦國際兒童繪畫比賽，吸引了數百名4至16歲的孩子參賽及展覽。然後，美術會總是安排其他一些展覽來鼓勵已成長的學生，繼續發揮他們的藝術才華。
像這個8月31到9月5日舉行的青年畫展，就是讓10名中學生、大學生和年輕畫人展示他們的繪畫作品。作品包括油畫、水彩、素描，寫生、平面設計、混合媒體作品和中國畫。這對他們來說真的是一個展覽體驗，又是與其他藝術家聯繫的好機會。
Ontario Chinese Artists Association/OCAA holds an international children’s art contest every year and attracts many hundreds of kids, aged 4 to 16, to enjoy participating in an art show. Then, OCAA always arranges some other exhibitions to encourage these growing students to continue their artistic talent.
In this Youth Art Show taking place on Aug. 31 – Sept. 5, OCAA allows high school students, university students and young adults to showcase their artwork including oil paintings, drawings, prints, live sketch, mixed media work and Chinese brush paintings. It is a really great occasion for them to experience an exhibition and connect with other artists.
Youth artists參展名單
1) Alice Huang is a 4th year architect student at the University of Waterloo.
2) Grace Xu is a practicing graphic and motion design specialist.
3) Ross Huang is a 16 year old student at St. Theresa of Liseaux Catholic High School.
4) Lilian Li Is a 16 year old student at Agincourt Collegiate.
5) Heidy Guan is a 2nd year illustration student at OCAD U.
6) Lijuan Wang is an illustration student going into 2nd year at Sheridan College.
7) Linda Chen is a 5th year illustration student at OCAD U entering her thesis year
8) 吳立雯Eliza Wu is an art student in Canada. She joined the OCAA many years ago.
9) 林真美is a high school student and studied Chinese Painting under the instruction of Mr.Ring Jingchun.
10) 梁丽鷗 Liang Liou is a high school student and she favors watercolor painting.
