移居加拿大安大略省的一批志同道合的書畫名家，於1979年創立安省中國美術會，定期雅聚於華埠長城畫廊。旨在雅集切磋書道繪藝，弘揚國粹，推動中西文化交流，定期作展覽，或邀請名家作學術講座等。後來借用遠東戲院及美德畫廊辦公。於1982年註冊成非牟利機構。

由於華人人口逐漸壯大及北移，安省中國美術會於2008年北遷往交通較方便的士嘉堡區。現在Midland會所內，有展覧廳、辦公室、教室及會議室等設備，繼續為五百多位會員及社區服務。

The Ontario Chinese Artists Association was established in 1979 to provide a platform for Chinese artists, Canadian or international. In 1982, OCAA was registered non-profit organization. In 1996, with an Ontario Government grant, OCAA purchased a 3,500 sq.ft. gallery space at 150 Beverley Street, in downtown Toronto. Each year, OCAA organized more than 30 art exhibitions. OCAA also provides a seminar space for local artists and learners alike.

Due to urban sprawl, OCAA moved to its current Scarborough location in 2008. OCAA continues its job by means of exhibitions, seminars, classes, members’ art shows, sales, gallery rental and other related activities. At present, OCAA has over 500 members.
